How does BYRO work?

You enter your pickup, dropoff, date and time using the trip search above. We show live prices for our seven vehicle tiers — Sedan, Comfort Electric (EV), SUV, Luxury Sedan, Luxury Van, Premium Van and minibus/convoy — and you book the one that suits. The vehicle and driver are held for you; no rideshare-style allocation, no pooling, no headaches.

Can I cancel or reschedule?

Yes — free cancellation up to 24 hours before pickup. Within 24 hours we'll do our best to reschedule rather than charge a cancellation fee, depending on driver availability.

Do you track flights?

Yes. If you share your flight number when booking, we monitor arrival times and adjust pickup automatically when your flight is delayed or early. We offer guaranteed pickups from airports regardless of flight delays. Standard waiting time at the airport is included; meet-and-greet at the arrivals gate is available as a $25 add-on.

Do you carry child seats?

Yes, for $10 each. We have rear-facing capsules (0–12 months), front-facing seats (12 months to 4 years) and booster seats (4–7 years). Specify in the booking add-ons section and the driver will have them fitted before pickup. In NSW, child seats are mandatory in private hire vehicles and rideshare vehicles for children under 7 years old.

Can I bring surfboards or large luggage?

Yes. Our Luxury Van and Premium Van vehicles fit two longboards inside the cabin with the rear seat folded — no roof racks needed for surfboards under 9'6". If you have a bigger group, we have luxury and premium vans with a roof-rack. We can carry any sized surfboard. Bulky items (surfboards, prams, wheelchairs, oversize bags) can be added at booking time with a small fee per item where applicable.

Do you offer round-trip bookings?

Yes. Toggle "Add return" on the trip search and we quote both legs together. Round-trip bookings save $10–$35 vs booking each leg separately, depending on the route tier.

What payment methods do you accept?

All major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) plus Apple Pay and Google Pay, processed securely through Stripe. Payment is taken at booking and a tax invoice is emailed automatically once your trip is confirmed.

What area do you cover?

BYRO covers the BYRO chauffeur service area: Hervey Bay (north) to Goondiwindi (west) to Port Macquarie (south), including Brisbane, Gold Coast, Tweed Heads, Byron Bay, Ballina, Lismore, Casino, Coffs Harbour and the Northern Rivers coastal strip.
